Hi!

Thank you so much for writing for me! I’d like to start by saying all the ideas below are just for your (optional) inspiration. If you’ve got an idea for story that you’re passionate about, please write that! I’ll love it.

General Likes: I read mostly queer relationships (m/m, f/f, etc) and gen. I’m totally down with any rating you want to write. I frequently consume stories with darker elements — so don’t be afraid to beat characters up, or run them through the emotional wringer. But I love humor, too. Likewise, if you’ve been looking for the opportunity to do something experimental, either with fic structure or content: go for it. AUs? Totally down. Especially if it’s something you have a ton of knowledge about (take your fandom to work AUs!) or sci-fi (telepathy! space exploration! deeply inconvenient soul bonds! woke up with tentacles!). I’m a huge fan of people coming through for each other under trying circumstances, forced proximity, h/c, pining, loyalty, spookiness/ghosts, hooking up followed by accidentally developing Feelings.

Do Not Wants:

I would prefer not to receive a story where a m/f romance is the main plot of the story. I’d also appreciate it if you could avoid rape, intimate partner violence, and/or sexualized violence.

Brunch RPF (Podcast)
Characters: Pete Blackburn, DJ Bean

Brunch is available for streaming here, or wherever you get your podcasts.

I love listening to these two bumble their way through discussions of sports, pop culture, and film. I love that while they don’t always know what they’re talking about, they’re at least willing to admit that. I love that DJ has never met an ad read he couldn’t make sound like it was being read under extreme duress. I love that they get into each other’s interests! I love that they’re equally concerned with “is this problematic?” and “what were they wearing?” I also love sports, especially hockey, so if you want to work in their day jobs, that would be awesome. I’d rather you leave real-life romantic partners out of the story, especially as opposed to making them the the villain.

Prompts:

- I absolutely ship it, but if you’re not down with that, I’d love a story about supportive besties being there for each other. Either way, give me bro shenanigans and I’ll be happy forever.
- Pete Blackburn always looks like he’s one Good Trip To Provincetown away from discovering and embracing his inner bisexual. So, where is the story of this realization? His coming out? How does DJ take it? 10000% Supportive from the start? Deeply freaked out in a ‘but how does this affect me’ way? Ready to Fight for the honor of a highly bemused Pete?
- “DJ likes Pete, but Pete loves DJ.” That’s it, that’s the prompt. Requited in the end, or unrequited with All The Sadness, your pick.
- Their Pride episode (6/11/19) was just one long series of fanfic prompts. Please give me the story of drunken shenanigans; inebriated domesticity, belated awakenings, crashing in same bed, accidentally-on-purpose cuddling, etc etc etc
- Honestly if you write any variation of friends-to-lovers I’ll be thrilled. Everyone knows they’re dating but them? Excellent. Perhaps getting clued in by a movie they watch as to the actual state of their relationship? Yes please.
- I love DJ for being willing to talk about his experiences with depression, and Pete for willing talking about insomnia and self-image. If you also find any of this relatable, I’d love a story built around ideas of growing up, growing into yourself, finding your footing, etc.
- I ALSO love how DJ continues to discover new aspects of, and be amazed by, Pete’s dedication to both fitness and personal grooming. So, not gonna lie, I would be totally down with a story about Pete’s praise kink, or the slow, mildly embarrassing realization of realizing exactly how into receiving DJ’s admiration he is.
- Something with a proximity curse? Or a telepathy curse? Please, I want to see them drive each other up the wall

Le chant du loup (Movie, 2019)
Chanteraide

This movie is available for free on Netflix, subbed or dubbed.

First off: I don’t speak a word of French (sorry). But I watched this movie for the first time on a redeye flight, and basically spent the entire movie whispering increasingly loudly to myself: what the fuck. What The Fuck. WHAT THE FUCK, because this movie is WILD.

If you’re looking for a one sentence description, it’s basically the French version of Top Gun, only set in nuclear submarines, with a soft, bad-at-life hero with super-powered hearing. The setup is batshit. The plot is batshit. The ending is batshit. It’s basically batshit, but in a super fun to watch way.

Prompts:

- I need to know what Chanteraide’s back story is! HOW did anyone this soft and, um, deeply bad at military life end up in the navy? What was he doing before? How was his hearing power discovered? Was he kidnapped as a youth and pressed into service, or has joining the navy been a dream his whole life? A family legacy of service? What is happening here?
- Listen, I’m not going to lie: there’s not a lot of obvious built-in shipping potential in this movie, but if you wanted to queer-up this story, I would be one million percent here for it. And honestly, Chanteraide spends most of this movie looking for approval from various daddy figures, so maybe there is potential there after all. Ship him with anyone!
- Give me the AU where D’Orsi lives! I mean: (imho) THAT ENDING CRIES OUT TO BE FIXED. Do he and Chanteraide run away and live happily ever after?
- Relatedly, do you just want to write thousands of words of D’Orsi face-palming over Chanteraide’s naval ineptitude? Because shippy or not, I would love that.
- SENTINAL AU. I mean it’s RIGHT THERE. Maybe Chanteraide is so fantastically bad at life because he doesn’t have a Guide! So give him one. Give me a day in the life, whether they’re still on ships or solving crimes, or whatever!
- Honestly, super-powered hearing seems like it would be a deeply unpleasant ability to have a great deal of the time. So slice of life: what are the downsides? Listening to your upstairs neighbor’s baby scream? A million people’s off-tune humming? Or, given what happens at the end of the movie, how does our hero adjust to not having his abilities?

Contact High (comic)
Characters: Ziggurat, Apex

Contact High is a short (30 page) comic available here for Pay-What-You-Want ($0+), with proceeds going to the SPLC and Lambda Legal. It’s a m/m sci-fi love story about the importance of touch.

I love that this comic poses so many questions in so few pages! What is the importance of touch? What does it mean for society when all physical contact is controlled? What does it mean when a government controls our sensory experiences? I love the exploration of different kinds of touch - the violence of Ziggurat’s journey, the cruelty of Apex’s restraints, the gentleness of their embrace, and the emphasis that the art brings to the meaningfulness of all those kinds of touch.

Prompts:

- There’s so little canon to work with here that I would love to see your world-building! How did the universe get this way? What triggered it? What was the tipping point? Was it something innocuous or even good that got twisted along the way? Was this all established long before Apex and Zig were born, or did they witness society change?
- WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? I have to know if they get out! How do they get out? Do they hide away, or spark a touch-centric revolution? What does a world that is rediscovering the importance of human touch look like?
- Backstory! including: what Ziggurat’s life as a guard was like. What was his first meeting with Apex like? Was it love at first sight, or did one of them have to woo the other?
- There’s a part where Ziggurat compares willingness to touch to being unafraid. I’d love a story that explored the idea of how different forms of touch (and love) especially when it’s been condemned or made illegal mean. How does it change the psyche of the person who wants it? What does it mean to live in a world that condemns something that feels natural to you?
- Likewise, there’s a part where one of the evil scientists says “free of desire, free of suffering” which I think implies that there’s this negative aspect to desire and touch — and there is, right? Desire can be intrinsically tied up with pining or angst or longing or jealousy, all of which can lead to grief and sadness — so what are the negative aspects of touch? What are Ziggurat and Apex (and other like them) risking by (literally) opening themselves up like that?

CosmoKnights (webcomic)
Characters: Any!

CosmoKnights is an on-going webcomic, available here. The story centers on queer (f/f) space gladiators who are battling the patriarchy using sick mech suits and sarcasm.

Okay, ngl, one of the first things that attracted me to this comic was the (incredibly hot) butch representation. Yes, please, and thank you. I also love that of our three main leads, we get three very different, vivid personalities. I love that universe sets up a deeply morally dubious and patriarchal system… but also that Cass & Bee’s approach to “solving” the problem isn’t exactly unproblematic either. I love that Pan is exactly as impulsive and idiotic as one might expect a young person to be. I also just really love how much Cass fucking loves wreaking havoc in her Bull suit. I mean, you gotta appreciate that.

Prompts:

- Pan/Tara reunion. I feel like the story is setting this up to be a long-term plot point, but i am ready for it NOW. What has Tara been up to? Hiding out? Organizing her own resistance? Traveling the galaxy? What was the trouble she was in? How’d she get out? DID SHE get out??? What does it mean for people who knew each other as kids to reunite as (almost) adults? Is there resentment? Grief? Making out? Does Pan pine for her while watching Cass & Bee?
- Cass/Bee backstory. First meeting! first kiss! first fuck! I would love to hear about all of it!
- The pages about Cass’ backstory as a princess really hit home for me. I deeply relate to the idea of feeling like you don’t fit with society’s expectations of what and who you’re supposed to be, especially when it has to do with being a woman who isn’t particularly feminine, and doesn’t enjoy trying to be. I’d love a story that explored more of what it was like for her to grow up with this huge weight of expectation hanging over her, her fear of disappointing people, or the strength it takes to be yourself.
- Although frankly: if you’re just here to write porn, I would also absolutely be down for that. Cass/Bee post-injury tending h/c? Hell yes.
- Cass & Bee & Pan undercover to gather info about an upcoming bout or competitor? Could be the mundane AU of your dreams! Is Cass absolutely worthless at customer service? Is Bee deeply amused by this?
- What happens to all the princesses they drop off???? Is there a planet of abandoned “freed” princesses out there? Are some of them pissed?
- Kate! What is she up to? Where’d she learn to hack?
- What if Kate & Bee hooked up sometime in the past? In Bee’s courier days??? How’s that affect their plans going forward? Her relationship with Cass?
- Okay listen. What if Kate is showing off her mad hacking skillz to Pan by showing how she can spy on Cass/Bee —> Accidentally on purpose watching Cass/Bee having sex —> [handwave] —> Pan/Kate hooking up
